Nubia Andrea Gonzalez is a passionate, self taught photographer who was born and raised in Oceanside, but is now relocated in the Bay Area. After continuing to pursue her educational background in Cinema, Nubia transferred from Palomar Community College to San Francisco State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts.
Her love for cameras and more importantly cinematography has influence the creativity and technicality in her portraiture photography. She makes it her goal to bring cinematic influence to her sessions to not only accentuate her subject but to bring an air of film influence.
As one of four daughters of immigrants, Nubia, a first generation Chicana, has made it her mission to not only showcase her work but, take up space in the photography and film scene. She believes that photography and film should be accessible form of art that can build community and identity.
